INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 14, 2014) – IndyGo is proud to announce its newest board member, Mark Fisher, Vice President for Government Relations and Policy Development at the Indy Chamber.

“We’re excited to add someone to our board of directors with such extensive public policy experience,” says IndyGo board of directors chairman, Danny Crenshaw. “Mr. Fisher will provide valuable input and oversight for IndyGo policies and operation.”

In this role at the Indy Chamber, Fisher is responsible for the overall public policy direction of the Chamber. His areas of focus include economic and community development, transportation, local government and fiscal policy matters.

Prior to joining the Indy Chamber as Vice President, Fisher served as Director of Engagement and Interim President of Develop Indy as well as various roles within the Indy Chamber’s public policy team.

A native of Bloomington, Fisher has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Economics from Indiana University- Bloomington and a Master’s of Public Affairs from Indiana University- Indianapolis. Fisher currently lives in Indianapolis with his wife and three sons and stays active in a variety of community-based initiatives including the Lacy Leadership Association, Employ Indy, Midtown Indy and Indiana INTERNnet.

Fisher is a mayoral appointment to the IndyGo board and began serving on the IndyGo board this fall. As a municipal corporation of Indianapolis-Marion County, IndyGo’s board of directors is comprised of seven members, four of which are appointed by the Council and three by the Mayor of Indianapolis.
