INDIANAPOLIS (July 1, 2014) – On Friday, July 4, IndyGo will operate on an amended holiday schedule, with additional outbound service from downtown at 11 p.m. to help get passengers home after the Donatos Downtown Freedom Blast.

Any route that runs on Sundays will make one more outbound trip from downtown at 11 p.m. on July 4. Passengers may board one of the 17 routes which will leave from Ohio and Capitol or Capitol and Market. IndyGo’s Quick Trip Planner at IndyGo.net and transit directions on Google Maps have been updated to reflect the special schedule. However, reroutes due to street closures won’t be reflected in trip plans. In the event the Freedom Blast is rained out, IndyGo will still operate the additional 11 p.m. trips.

IndyGo’s Service Hours for Fourth of July:

  • Local Fixed Routes: Operating on a Sunday schedule
  • Open Door: Operating on a Sunday schedule
  • Customer Service Call Center: Closed
  • Customer Service Retail Center: Closed
  • Administrative Office: Closed

Several other special events on Friday, July 4 will greatly impact service causing detours and delays. Passengers should plan ahead and allow plenty of time for travel to their destinations on Independence Day.
