Visitor Riding Privileges:

Visitors from other cities who are eligible and certified under ADA criteria are welcome to use Open Door during their visit to Indianapolis for up to 21 days in a calendar year. Open Door customers are offered the same visitor rider privileges in other cities.

Service Suspension Policies:

Misusing the IndyGo system can result in a suspension of your Open Door Service. The following acts are considered misuse:

  • Obtaining or using Open Door services under false/fraudulent pretenses
  • Excessive no shows, late cancellations and cancels at the door

 Definitions:

  • Late Cancel: Canceling two hours or less prior to the beginning of the pickup window.  This will allow a passenger to cancel a scheduled trip up to two hours prior to the beginning of a pickup window, before being considered a late cancellation.  IndyGo recognizes that there are times when advanced notice is not possible; if incidents are found to have unavoidable circumstances beyond the customer's control, those incidents will continue to be removed from the customer's record and no penalty will be applied.
  • No Shows: Not being present for a pickup without the appropriate cancellation notification.
  • Cancel at the Door: Similar to a no show except the client or someone representing the client tells the driver the ride is not needed.
