Transit Service Between Airport/Downtown Indy

For residents and visitors using Indianapolis International Airport, IndyGo offers affordable access via public transportation, seven days a week, early morning to late night with departures every half hour for most of the day. Route 8 runs through the heart of downtown and stops within a 15 minute walk of nearly two dozen hotels and terminates at the Airport's Ground Transportation Center. Download the schedule >>

• IndyGo's local service Route 8 offers public transportation between downtown Indianapolis and the Indianapolis International Airport.
• Airport customers can board Indianapolis Public Transportation at the Airport's Ground Transportation Center, Zone 6.
• Approximate travel time between downtown and the Airport is 45 minutes.
• Route 8 travels through downtown Indianapolis along Ohio Street where passengers can walk to downtown hotels or transfer to another IndyGo route. View system info.
• Single rides for IndyGo local service are only $1.75 and day passes are $4.  Detailed fare info here.
• Exact fare upon boarding (cash only, single fares or day passes) or pre-purchased fare passes are required for local service routes. All other passes (10-trip, 7-day and 31-day) must be purchased in advance online, by phone or at the IndyGo retail store.
• Children age 5 and under ride free on IndyGo with a fare-paying or pass-holding adult, limit 2.
• Half fare available to those who qualify.

• All fixed route buses are ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts/ramps.

Public transportation at Indianapolis Airport's Ground Transportation Center (Zone 6).

From baggage claim on lower level of terminal, walk outdoors to the Ground Transportation Center. From the upper level of the terminal, pass check-in counters and access Ground Transportation via the enclosed walkway.

Westbound stops for service to the airport are located on the north side of Ohio Street, Downtown Indianapolis.
