INDIANAPOLIS (July 9, 2015) – Six organizations in the Indianapolis region were awarded Section 5310 grant funding for vehicles to use in transportation programs serving older individuals and those with disabilities.

IndyGo, a designated recipient of the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Section 5310 funds, is responsible for administering allocated capital funds to eligible organizations and service providers in the Indianapolis urbanized area.

Eligible recipients of Section 5310 funding include private, not-for-profit organizations and authorized units of local government seeking assistance purchasing vehicles for their transportation programs. The grant also requires a 20% local match provided by the grant recipient.

IndyGo’s 2015 grant awards for Federal Section 5310 projects total $400,800 for 11 vehicles:
