NDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 11, 2015)– IndyGo transit service is expected to operate with potentially significant delays on Monday morning due to the Sunday night ice storm. While preparations are being made at IndyGo to roll out normal service first thing Monday morning, slippery driving conditions and anticipated slow rush hour traffic could delay transit service in Indianapolis.

While no revisions to bus routes are being made in advance of normal start of service tomorrow morning, the transit system could detour routes to avoid dangerous areas.

Passengers are advised to proceed with caution walking to bus stops and boarding IndyGo. Slippery sidewalks and wet floors on transit vehicles pose serious risks for slips and falls. Property owners are responsible for clearing sidewalks in front of their homes and businesses in Marion County.

At 7 a.m. Monday, IndyGo’s customer service call center (317.635.3344) will begin normal operations. Customers may call to receive up-to-the-minute bus arrival and detour information. Updates will also be posted to the IndyGo Twitter page, @IndyGoBus.
