Holidays

IndyGo observes seven national holidays when service will follow holiday schedules on all IndyGo routes. IndyGo holiday service runs on the Sunday schedule times, except for Martin Luther King,  Jr. Day, which runs on a Saturday schedule.

If a route does not offer Sunday service, then no service will be available on these holidays.

NO SMOKING (1/29/2009)

Effective immediately, there will be NO SMOKING in all IndyGo bus shelters and waiting areas per a city ordinance banning smoking.

CITY-COUNTY GENERAL ORDINANCE NO. 44, 2005 - Proposal No. 45, 2005

Article II. SMOKING RESTRICTIONS
Sec. 616-201. Prohibition of smoking in public places.

Smoking shall be prohibited in all public places within Consolidated City including, but not limited to, the following places:

(g) Public transportation facilities, including, but not limited to, buses and taxicabs under the authority of the city, the county, or the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation, and ticket, boarding, and waiting areas of public transit depots.

The Marion County Health Department is overseeing enforcement of the ordinance.  To file a smoking complaint for someone violating the no smoking ordinance, please call the Health Department at (317) 221-3333, or visit www.mchd.com.

NO SE PODRÁ FUMAR (1/29/2009)

Con fecha inmediata, y de acuerdo con una ordenanza de la ciudad por la que se prohibe fumar, NO SE PODRÁ FUMAR en ninguna caseta (casilla) para la espera de autobuses de IndyGo ni en las áreas de espera.

ORDENANZA GENERAL DE LA CIUDAD-CONDADO número 44, 2005 – Propuesta número 45, 2005

Artículo II. RESTRICCIONES PARA FUMAR
Sec. 616-201. Prohibición para fumar en los lugares públicos.

Se prohibirá fumar en todos los lugares públicos dentro de la Ciudad Consolidada incluyendo, pero no limitándose a, los siguientes lugares:

(g) Instalaciones del transporte público, incluyendo, pero no limitándose a, los autobuses y taxis de acuerdo con la autoridad de la ciudad, el condado o el Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation, y las áreas de boletos, para abordar el autobús y las de espera en las estaciones de transporte público.

El Departamento de Salud del Condado de Marion es el encargado de hacer cumplir la ordenanza. Para presentar una queja sobre alguna persona que viola la ordenanza de prohibición de fumar, por favor llamar al Departamento de Salud al (317) 221-3333 o visitar www.mchd.com.
