Greenwood Connector Information

The new Greenwood Connector is designed to meet the IndyGo Route 31 and provide service between the Greenwood Park Mall and Kmart at US 31.  The Greenwood Connector will operate from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM and from 6:15 PM to 7:30 PM each weekday.  When the Connector is not in service the IndyGo Route 31 bus will go to Kmart at US 31.

The Greenwood Connector will meet the outbound IndyGo Route 31 bus at the Greenwood Park Mall for those trips marked with an asterisk on the bus schedule.  Passengers traveling between the Mall and Kmart simply need to transfer onto the van at the Mall bus stop.  The van will then travel to Kmart stopping at regular IndyGo bus stops along the way.

If you are not at the Greenwood Park Mall during the hours the Connector is in service (weekdays 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM and 6:15 PM to 7:30 PM), you need to call 738-5523 to be picked up.  A van will pick you up a marked stop along the way.

ACCESS Johnson County, Johnson County’s public dial-a-ride service, operates the Greenwood Connector van that operates in Johnson County.

This joint service will allow fore more frequent service during the day between downtown Indianapolis and the Greenwood Park Mall.   There will be one additional trip in the evening from downtown Indianapolis at 8:10 PM to the Greenwood Park Mall and one trip from the Greenwood Park Mall at 9:11 PM to downtown Indianapolis.

 The Greenwood Connector van will meet the Route 31 bus at the Greenwood Park Mall bus stop at 8:18 AM, 9:18 AM, 10:18 AM, 11:18 AM, 12:18 PM, 1:18 PM, 2:18 PM, 3:18 PM, 6:22 PM, 6:44 PM, and 7:24 PM.  Please refer to IndyGo weekday connections that have an asterisk next to the times that the ACCESS Johnson County van will meet the Route 31 at the Greenwood Park Mall. 

If you are not at the Greenwood Park Mall, you must call a minimum two hours in advance for a pickup.

All pickups or drop offs for the Greenwood Connector service may only be made at a regular IndyGo bus stop.

Fares for the Greenwood Connector will be the same as IndyGo fares.  You may receive or use a transfer for the Greenwood Connector.  You may also purchase a ticket for a one-day pass on the Greenwood Connector and redeem it on IndyGo by presenting it to the IndyGo driver who will issue you a one-day pass.   All IndyGo passes will be accepted as long as they have been activated and the start/end date is printed on the pass.

 Guidelines for scheduling a trip with ACCESS Johnson County for the Greenwood Connector:

• Trips can be scheduled up to 7 days in advance, call at least 2 hours in advance.

• Give your name, address, location, telephone number, date of ride, location of drop off or pickup.

• Reservation hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

• If you ride at the same time on a regular basis you can set up a regular repeat ride so that you don’t have to call everyday.
