Summary

IPTC is seeking bids from qualified General Contractors,

1) Bus Stop Sign Installation & Maintenance (includes installation, relocation, removal and replacement of signs and poles as requested)

2) Installation, Relocation, Removal and Replacement of Transit Amenities (includes certain shelters, benches, bike racks, trash cans, simme seats and lighting at existing and new sites)

3) Maintenance and Repair of Damaged or Vandalized Bus Shelters, Red Line Stations, Signs, Sign Cabinets and Amenities

4) Secured Storage for Inventory of Shelters (new and used), Glass Panels, Signs, Simme Seats, Bike Racks, and Other Amenities and Parts (some indoor storage required)

5) Cleaning & Maintenance of Shelters, Bus Stop Signs, Red Line Stations, Benches, Trash Receptacles, Bike Racks, Simme Seats and other Amenities

The cleanliness and good repair of bus shelters, signs and stations is of paramount importance to IPTC.  IPTC currently has:

  • Approximately 2900 bus stop sign locations
  • 215 bus shelters
  • 34 Red Line stations
  • Approximately 260 trash cans
  • Approximately 72 bike racks
  • Approximately 211 benches and simme seats
