Summary

IPTC is committed to meeting the requirements of the American with Disabilities Act in regards to providing complementary public transit service to eligible individuals with disabilities within the IPTC service area. IPTC contracts its ADA paratransit service, branded as ’Open Door’, to an outside vendor. In addition, IPTC offers its eligible clients same-day service opportunities – half-fare rides on its accessible fixed route service and a limited number of taxi vouchers.

IPTC recognizes an opportunity to expand its service offerings to eligible paratransit clients through the use of existing technologies. The goal of this new service offering is to offer eligible clients with more service choices while improving performance and reducing number of trips that are difficult to serve with our existing paratransit service.
