“Anything can happen at any time” is a universal truth, but IndyGo is ready to respond to “anything,” any given day.
Weather, traffic, accidents, and the rare mechanical malfunction can alter any IndyGo route schedule at any time. So, before you go, come here first, and check to see if anything’s affecting the schedule on the IndyGo route you’re about to take. Please note that if there’s not a posted alert for your intended route, everything about that route should be on course and on time.

500 Festival Mini-Marathon Detours Saturday, May 2
Due to the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Saturday, May 2, multiple street closures will affect IndyGo service from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. Riders should expect delays, detours and temporary stop closures along impacted routes. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
Please note: Washington Street will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 1, to begin marathon setup.
Route 10
- 10th Street: Closed 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. from White River Parkway to Main Street
Route 25
- 16th Street: Closed 5 a.m. to noon from Indianapolis Motor Speedway to Olin Avenue
Routes 3 and 8
- Michigan Street: Closed 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. from West Street to Holt Road
Routes 8, 24, 90 (Red Line) and 92 (Purple Line)
- Washington Street: Closed 2 to 10 a.m. from Illinois Street to White River Parkway
- Maryland Street: Closed 2 to 10 a.m. from Illinois Street to West Street
Red and Purple lines (Statehouse Platform)
- Capitol Avenue: Closed 3 to 10 a.m. from Market Street to Maryland Street

The detour on route 5 has changed. It will nolonger detour down 28th St. Instead, it will be detoured down 30th St.

Beginning on or after 1/13/26, Washington St will be closed from Southeastern to State St. EASTBOUND ONLY

Rt 90 is on detour due to the Fountain Sq project, closing the Fountain Sq, Pleasant Run & Raymond St platforms. You may access the bus on East St.

⭐️UPDATE: RIDER DETOUR LIFTED⭐️ Construction is complete, and Route 92 is back on its regular route on East 38th Street.
🚨 RIDER DETOUR 🚨 Due to construction, inbound Route 92 (Purple Line) is on detour April 15-17 between Franklin Road and Elmhurst Drive. Route 92 inbound will service the Franklin Road Platform during the detour. See image for details.

⭐️UPDATE: RIDER DETOUR LIFTED⭐️ Route 26 is back on its regular route onto Prospect Street.
🚨 RIDER DETOUR 🚨 Starting on or after March 9, Route 26 will detour at Prospect Street/Fountain Square. This closes all stops along Prospect Street from State Street to Virginia Avenue, and on Virginia Avenue from Calvary Street to Prospect Street.
