The Value of Transit

The Impact
of IndyGo

We do more than just drive Hoosiers from one place to another, we transport our riders to their hopes and dreams, to their education and careers, to their families and friends, to their health and well-being, and to another day of life in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas.

We are at the forefront of making Indianapolis a resilient, prosperous and equitable community for all.

The Speed of IndyGo

IndyGo’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network is bringing faster, safer and more efficient transit to Indianapolis through three BRT lines. As we launched the Red and Purple lines and prepare to welcome the Blue Line to our BRT system, we are proud to have attracted more than $1.2 billion in economic development to Indianapolis, with much more in the works.

Someone You Rely On, Relies on IndyGo

The librarian who works with kids relies on IndyGo. The individual who makes coffee at a local café relies on IndyGo. The teacher who educates children relies on IndyGo. You may not ride the bus every day, but many of the people you encounter throughout the day do. Someone you rely on, relies on IndyGo.

The Support of IndyGo

Many federal, state and local leaders, business owners, local organizations and residents understand the Value of Transit in Indianapolis. They have shared their praise for the critical services IndyGo provides that connect people to jobs, the grocery store, doctor’s appointments and anywhere else they need to travel to in the city.

Rep. Blake Johnson

All of us will see big gains in terms of smoother and safer streets, new sidewalks, and better water drainage. We’ll see ongoing economic development, adding to the more than $400 million already flocking to the corridor – and all of this is fueled by the Blue Line.
