IndyGo is devoted to providing the tools our employees need to succeed in their professional as well as personal lives. IndyGo offers employees training and growth opportunities as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including a wellness program that rewards its employees for being active and a convenient free on-site medical clinic for employees and their dependents.
Our current fleet is growing; IndyGo operates 31 bus routes and provides 10 million passenger trips a year. With the certainty of dedicated transit funding, IndyGo now has the confidence to move forward with implementation of the Marion County Transit Plan. Improvements in the plan include shorter wait times, longer service hours, easier transfers, and rapid transit lines along high ridership corridors.
These major increases to service will require additional employees, especially mechanics and transit drivers, to implement the expanded network. IndyGo expects to fill 90 positions in 2017 alone, with even more demand in 2018 and beyond as implementation of the Transit Plan commences. Riders will be able to go faster, go comfortably, go green, and go more places. Join a team that moves the city.
