Fare-Free Rides & Extended Service
February 15-18

IndyGo is excited to announce fare-free rides and extended service for NBA All-Star 2024.

  • Between February 15-18, fans can enjoy free rides on IndyGo to celebrate downtown festivities surrounding the 73rd NBA All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
  • From February 16-18, extended service will be offered on high-frequency routes departing from the Julia M. Carson Transit Center (CTC), with the final departure scheduled for 12:30 a.m.
  • (This extension aims to guarantee convenient transportation for riders leaving downtown after the scheduled events conclude.)

IndyGo: Your Ticket to All-Star Events!

All-Star Events at Lucas Oil Stadium

For those attending All-Star events at Lucas Oil Stadium, riders can take Route 8.

  • Individuals traveling westbound can exit at the Washington and Illinois streets stop.
  • Individuals traveling eastbound can exit at the Maryland and Missouri streets stop.
  • Lucas Oil Stadium is a few blocks south and within walking distance of the highlighted stops

(Please note: On Sunday, Feb. 18, Route 8 westbound will be on detour and will temporarily not service the stop at Washington and Illinois streets.)

All-Star Game & Events at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

For those attending All-Star events at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, riders can board nearly any route traveling toward downtown and exit at the CTC. Gainbridge Fieldhouse is one block south and within walking distance of the CTC.

Another stop that allows for easy access to downtown is the Statehouse Station along the Red Line, located near Capitol Avenue and Washington Street.

Once you determine your route, go to your designated stop, board the IndyGo bus and enjoy your free, warm ride as you skip the frustrations of heavy traffic, parking downtown and walking long distances in the cold!

(Please note: Extended service hours mentioned above will not show up on any trip planning tools the weekend of the All-Star celebrations. Riders in need of assistance with planning their trips after 9:30 p.m. can follow service updates on the IndyGo X [Twitter] Rider Alerts page @IndyGoAlerts. They can also ask an IndyGo volunteer onsite at the CTC or select All-Star event venues for assistance.)
