INDIANAPOLIS — Beginning on or after Tuesday, May 30, Purple Line construction will begin an additional closure along 38th Street and Emerson Avenue, with work happening at the Pendleton Pike and Massachusetts Avenue intersection for storm sewer construction and roadway improvements. No through traffic will be allowed north or southbound. This work is expected to last up to 18 days.  

Motorists driving west on 38th Street can continue to detour around the 38th Street closures using Shadeland Avenue, 46th Street and Emerson Avenue. (See Motorist Detour Map below.) 

IndyGo riders will not be impacted by this new closure.
