INDIANAPOLIS — Beginning on or after Monday, March 3, the intersection of Capitol Avenue and 14th Street will experience construction related to the downtown IU Health campus project. This work is scheduled to last approximately two weeks and will close Capitol Avenue to general traffic, while slightly impacting IndyGo’s bus rapid transit service at the 14th Street Station.
During the construction, southbound service for IndyGo’s Red and Purple lines at the 14th Street Station will be unavailable, and buses will not pick up or drop off riders. Instead, southbound buses will merge into the northbound lane, pass the station platform, and pick up and drop off riders at the temporary stop located at Capitol Avenue and 12th Street. Northbound service for the Red and Purple lines will continue as normal. (See the closure map below.)
