INDIANAPOLIS – IndyGo’s Summer Youth Pass is an affordable option for Indianapolis riders 18 and under. For only $30.00, youth can ride on IndyGo all summer long, June 1 through August 31.
“Transportation is often the missing link for access to services,” said IndyGo President and CEO, Mike Terry. “The IndyGo Summer Youth Pass is a great way for youth to have the opportunity to join friends at a park, reach a summer job, visit a museum, take a class, and enjoy the various activities Indy offers.”
In addition to the Summer Youth Pass program, riders 18 and under can also take advantage of IndyGo’s Half Fare program year round. Passengers using the Summer Youth Pass or any reduced fare pass must present proper ID when boarding a bus to prove eligibility for reduced fare. For IndyGo’s Summer Youth Pass and Half Fare for youth, a valid student ID (K-12) or an IndyGo Half Fare ID card for youth is required when riding the bus.
To apply for Half Fare, complete the Half Fare application, available online or in person, and bring proof of age to the Retail Center. IndyGo youth ID cards may be obtained for $2.00 at the IndyGo Retail Center located at 34 N. Delaware St. or online. Please note the Retail Center will be moving to the Julia M. Carson Transit Center, located at 201 E. Washington St. on Wednesday, June 22.
Individuals over 18 are not eligible to use the Summer Youth Pass under any circumstances.
