Public Hearing

IndyGo values your voice and invites you to share your thoughts about the proposed fare changes at its public hearing, which is part of the June Board of Directors meeting. Those who would like to share their feedback must register before the hearing begins at 4 p.m. June 18.

There are three ways to register:

Online to Speak Virtually

Online to Speak In-Person

On-Site Before the Hearing

Fare Increase Proposal Public Hearing Details

  • The public hearing will be livestreamed on YouTube and recorded.
  • Once the public hearing starts, registration to speak will close.
  • We will begin with attendees who are in person and then will move to those who have registered to speak virtually.
  • Two speakers will be called at the same time to ensure that we can keep the hearing moving efficiently. The second speaker should be prepared to walk to the microphone as soon as the speaker before them is wrapping up.
  • Speakers will be given two minutes for their remarks.
  • We ask that all speakers stay on the fare proposal topic.
  • This is a listening session only. Questions will not be answered. If you have questions about the fare proposal, we ask that you attend a public meeting, where you can learn more and ask questions of the IndyGo leaders who staff these meetings. You can find a list of upcoming meetings here.
  • We will have an electronic timer that will show speakers how much time remains.

In-Person Guidelines

  • When it is your time to speak, please either step up to the lectern or use the microphone on the table to the left of the lectern, as needed.
  • Before you begin your remarks, you will be asked to state your name, city, state and zip code.

Virtual Guidelines

  • The public hearing will use Zoom webinar, which means that your camera and microphone will be off when you login.
  • When your name is announced, you will see a message on your screen that says, “The host would like you to speak,” along with two buttons that say, “Unmute,” or “Stay muted.” Please select, “Unmute.”
  • Next, we will promote you to a panelist. You will be expected to turn on your camera before speaking. You will see a message on your screen that says, "The host would like to promote you to be a panelist.”
  • Before you begin your remarks, you will be asked to state your name, city, state and zip code.
