With the implementation of the Marion County Transit Plan, IndyGo is transitioning its bus service to a grid-based network, adding three rapid transit lines, and improving its local routes.
As part of this transition, IndyGo staff has adopted major fare policy changes to accommodate and improve the customer experience with the new system. IndyGo base fare is to remain at $1.75 (and $0.85 half fare). The change of fare policy includes a new fare type, a two-hour ticket to allow for free transfers in a two-hour window.
Additionally, IndyGo will introduce MyKey, a new account-based system with a tap card and a mobile phone app. Customers who use the account-based system will load value in advance, and with each ride, will earn toward a weekly cap of $15.75 (or $7.65 half fare).
Questions, comments and more detailed information can be found through our Call Center (317.635.3344) and in person at the Julia M. Carson Transit Center (201 E. Washington St.).
IndyGo hosted informational meetings and a formal public hearing.
